Sprouted Horsegram(Muthira) Thoran
A tasty and healthy side dish with rice - Sprouted Horsegram(Muthira) Thoran.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 cup Sprouted horsegram Muthira
- 1 nos Onion — chopped
- 1/2 cup Coconut — grated
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 2 nos Green chillies — chopped
- Salt, to taste
- Curry leaves, a few
- 1 tsp Mustard
- 1 tbsp Oil
Preparation
Step 1
Set a pan on the stove, heat oil and sputter the mustard and cook onions, green chillies and curry leaves. 2)Then add in the coconut and fry. 3)Add in the sprouted horsegram with salt and Put the lid on and cook for 2 to 5 minutes on low heat.
Step 2
Serve warm with rice. Sprouted horsegram(muthira) thoran is ready.
Tip
The pan should be completely dry when you finish — no moisture should remain. That dryness is what gives thoran its characteristic texture.
