Potato Snacks
Sliced half cooked potatoes dipped in chilly paste and deep fried.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- 5 nos Potato sliced as finger chips
- 11/4 tbsp Chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
- 2 nos Eggs
- Dry bread crumbs, to taste
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Cook the potato fingers in some water till 3/4th cooked stage.
Step 2
Mix the powders: chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, two eggs and required salt in 1 tbsp hot water to make a paste.
Step 3
Dip the potato fingers in this paste and roll over in bread crumbs.
Step 4
Place a pan on the stove and pour sufficient oil. Heat the oil and fry in hot oil the potato fingers until golden in color.
Tip
Fresh curry leaves make a genuine difference. Dried curry leaves are a poor substitute — if you cannot get fresh ones, increase the quantity and fry them longer.
