Payaru Mezhukkuvaratti
This is a very simple dish with very few ingredients. This dish is prepared with string beans.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- 250 g Neelan payaru
- 5 small Onion
- 2 Green chillies
- 2 Tablespoon Coconut oil
- 1 Teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 Tablespoon Chilli powder
- Salt for taste
- Curry leaves
Preparation
Step 1
Add oil in a pan and add small onion, curry leaves, green chillies and cook it, stirring well.
Step 2
Add chilli powder, turmeric powder to the above.
Step 3
Finally add payaru and salt and cook it, stirring well.
Step 4
Mezhukkuvaratti is ready.
Tip
Shred the vegetable as fine as you can — the thinner the cuts, the better the thoran. A sharp knife makes all the difference.
