Orange Squash

Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 2 cup Orange juice
- 1/4 tsp Orange color
- 1/4 tsp Citric acid
- 11/2 cup Sugar
- 11/2 tsp Orange essence
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3/4 cup Water
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing orange squash, slightly caramelize the sugar and set aside to cool.(Semi thick solution with water, do not brown it).
Step 2
Add salt, citric acid, color and essence.
Step 3
Add orange juice and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 4
Store it in a container. Orange squash is ready.
Tip
When the recipe says "medium heat," it means medium. Kerala cooking is not about high-flame drama — most of the work happens at a patient, steady temperature.
