Moru Curry With Coconut
Moru Curry with Coconut is a yoghurt dish from God’s Own Country. Moru Curry with Coconut makes an excellent pair with white steamed rice for noon day meals. Moru Curry is unique and special with curd blended with an aromatic coconut mixture and seasoned.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 500 ml Buttermilk
- 1 nos Coconut — grated
- 5 nos Shallots
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp Rice flour
- Curry leaves, a few
- Salt, to taste
- Water, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing Moru Curry with Coconut, first grind grated coconut and shallots with little water to make a fine paste.
Step 2
To begin Moru curry recipe add the buttermilk in a clay pot.
Step 3
Add ground coconut and rice flour. Rice flour is used to get a thickness for curry.
Step 4
Add turmeric powder.
Step 5
Add curry leaves and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 6
Switch on the heat,keep stirring and cook the curry on low heat till it starts to boil. Do not let the curry boil. Turn off the heat and add salt and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 7
Serve the Moru Curry along with steamed rice.
Tip
The oil separating from the masala is your signal that the base is properly cooked. Do not add the main ingredient before you see those pools of oil on the surface.
