Fried Rava Ladoo | Thari Unda | Easy Diwali Sweet
These days I am craving for preparing new sweets in my kitchen. The reason is obvious, it’s Diwali in few days and I just can’t seem to stop myself from trying out new recipes.
Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- 1 cup Rava/semolina
- 1 Egg Large
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
- Oil — for frying
- Salt
Preparation
Step 1
Add eggs, sugar and cardamom to a bowl. Stir everything together thoroughly until sugar dissolves and sugar turns light.
Step 2
Stir in rava.
Step 3
Stir everything together thoroughly with a spoon or with your hand.
Step 4
Make small lemon sized balls.
Step 5
Heat oil and fry till nice brown in colour.
Step 6
Ladoo is ready.
Tip
When working with jaggery, always melt and strain it first. Even the best quality jaggery has some grit that needs to be removed.
