Delicious Brain Cutlets
Crispy, golden, and gone before they cool down — these fried snacks are the kind of thing that appears with evening tea and disappears within minutes. Best eaten hot, right out of the oil.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 1 nos Goat`s brain — cleaned
- 1 cup Onions — finely cubed
- 5 nos Green chillies — finely chopped
- 1 tsp Ginger — finely chopped
- 1 tsp Garlic — finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Coriander leaves — finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Coconut — grated
- 1 nos Egg
- 1 tbsp Rice flour
- 2 tbsp All purpose flour Maida
- 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 cup Water
- Oil, to taste
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing delicious brain cutlets, cook the brain in chilly powder, turmeric powder, salt and water. Mash it.
Step 2
Mix in onions, green chillies, ginger, garlic, coriander leaves, coconut, egg and salt with your hands.
Step 3
Drop in rice flour and maida. Mix it well.
Step 4
Make small balls out of it using wet hands and roll it out.
Step 5
Fry it in oil.
Step 6
Delicious brain cutlets are ready. Serve hot.
Tip
Oil temperature is critical. Too hot and the outside burns before the inside cooks. Too cool and the snack absorbs oil and turns soggy.
