Chicken Samosa
Coated in a well-seasoned batter and fried to a deep golden colour — the crunch is the whole point. Serve with a cup of strong black tea and watch them disappear.
Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- 2 cup Flour
- 4 Pc Chicken
- 2 tsp Chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- Salt, to taste
- Oil, to taste
- 3 Onion
- 4 Green chilly
- Water, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Marinate the chicken in 1 tsp chilly powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and salt. Cook it in pressure cooker.
Step 2
Get it out, shred the chicken and mince it in a mixer grinder.
Step 3
Pour oil into a kadai and heat it and sautT onion, green chilly and salt in it till the onion turns lightly browned.
Step 4
Add the rest chilly powder and turmeric powder. Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 5
Add the minced chicken and Stir everything together thoroughly in low flame.
Step 6
Get it from flame and set aside.
Step 7
Knead the flour with water and salt to taste.
Step 8
Make small balls out of it and roll to make thin chappathis.
Step 9
Slice it in 4.
Step 10
Shape each slice to a cone and fill in the chicken masala.
Step 11
Close the top.
Step 12
Repeat the same for the rest dough and masala.
Step 13
Pour oil into a kadai and heat it and fry it on both sides, till golden brown.
Step 14
Serve it as a teatime snack or for breaking fast.
Tip
Drain on a wire rack instead of paper towels — the rack keeps the bottom from getting steamy and losing its crispness.
