Bread Unda With Beef And Egg Filling
A quick and satisfying egg dish that proves you do not need expensive ingredients to eat well. Boiled eggs in a spiced gravy, or scrambled with onions and curry leaves — simple Kerala cooking at its most practical.
Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- 1 Packet Bread
- 3 Boiled eggs
- Beef masala, to taste
- 1 ½ Milk
- 1/4 tsp Chilly powder
- Salt, to taste
- Oil, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Mix milk, chilly powder and salt to taste.
Step 2
Slice the boiled eggs in half.
Step 3
Get a slice of bread, dip it in the milk and squeeze the excess milk with care.
Step 4
Spoon in 1 tsp of beef masala and place one slice of the boiled eggs.
Step 5
Get another slice of bread, dip it in milk and squeeze the milk and place it above the first bread slice and slowly roll it in your palms to make a ball.
Step 6
Repeat the same with the remaining bread slice, eggs, and beef masala.
Step 7
Fry it in oil, one at a time with care not to break the balls.
Step 8
Serve it sliced.
Tip
The coconut pieces should get slightly crispy along with the beef. They add a textural contrast that makes the dish.
