Black Forest Cake - Creamy
Black Forest Cake is a famous German chocolate cake with four chocolate layers, whipped cream and garnished with chocolates and cherries. It is the most preferred cake mostly by kids.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- 175 g Allpurpose flour Maida
- 100 g Sugar — powdered
- 25 g Cocoa powder
- 1 tsp Chocolate essence
- 1 tsp Soda
- ½ cup Refined oil
- Salt A pinch
- 1 cup Curd
- 200 g Icing sugar
- White butter(home made) - 100 gm, home
- 100 g Drinking chocolate
Preparation
Step 1
For the filling: 1)Mix biscuit powder, jam, sugar and refined oil and warm it slightly.
Step 2
For the icing: 1)Keep little plain butter aside. Beat the butter and icing sugar till soft. Add chocolate powder and Stir everything together thoroughly. For making the cake: 1)Sieve maida, powdered sugar and soda together at-least three times.
Step 3
Add refined oil, curd and essence and mix it well.
Step 4
Beat it in one direction for 15 minute and keep this batter aside.
Step 5
Get a cake tin and grease it with butter.
Step 6
Put butter paper according to its size and dust with flour.
Step 7
Now put the batter in the cake tin and bake it in a preheated oven at 180ªC/350ªF for 45 minutes.
Step 8
After one hour of removing it from the oven, cut the cake horizontally through the center.
Step 9
Get the first part and put the filling and keep the second part over it.
Step 10
Spread the icing mixture equally on all sides.
Step 11
Decorate it with plain butter.
Step 12
Makes cake of approx. 11/2 pounds.
Tip
When working with jaggery, always melt and strain it first. Even the best quality jaggery has some grit that needs to be removed.
