Beef Keema Fry
Kerala-style dry fry where beef is cooked down until all the moisture evaporates and what remains is intensely flavoured, slightly caramelised, and impossibly moreish. Best with parotta or plain rice.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- Beef 1/2 kg
- Onion 1
- Ginger 8 cloves
- Garlic 2 inch piece
- Red chilly powder 3 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1 tsp
- Coriander powder 2 tsp
- Garam masala 2 tsp
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Salt, to taste
- Oil to deep fry
Preparation
Step 1
First we have to cook beef using all the ingredients except onion.
Step 2
Then allow it to get cool,then mince the beef using a mixer or grinder.
Step 3
Then heat a pan add oil in it and when it gets hot pour the beef mixture to it and allow to get fry in hot oil.
Step 4
When it gets slightly fried add onion to it and cook it, stirring well.
Step 5
When it gets fried nicely, off the flame and serve hot.
Tip
Thin strips cook faster and develop more crispy surface area than thick cubes. Cut against the grain for tenderness.
