White Potato Curry
easy to make, even a beginner can try. White Potato Curry tastes amazing for its simplicity and unique flavour. White Potato Curry goes well with chapathi or idiyappam.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 250 g Potato
- 1 Onion — finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp Ginger/ garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
- 1/4 tsp Garam masala powder
- 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1/4 cup Fresh cream
- 3 tbsp Oil
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Boil the potatoes,mash it and set aside. Heat the oil in a pan,let the mustard seeds crackle,add chopped onion, ginger / garlic paste and cook it, stirring.
Step 2
Add pepper,garam masala powder,salt and cook it, stirring again.
Step 3
Add the mash potatoes and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 4
Finally add fresh cream and Stir everything together thoroughly again.
Step 5
White Potato Curry is ready. Garnish with fried onions,chopped coriander leaves or mint leaves.
Tip
Taste the gravy before adding the main ingredient. It should be well-seasoned and balanced on its own — the protein or vegetable will dilute it slightly.
