- 1 tsp Cardamom powder Podi (Elakka)
- 3/4 cup Sugar

- 1/2 cup Condensed milk
Preparation

Cut all the fruits into small pieces. Heat a pan and cook the chopped fruits by adding a tbsp of ghee. Let it cook for 10 minutes on low-medium heat.
Step 2
Next, boil milk in a saucepan.
Step 3
Add sago and cook.
Step 4
When the sagos are well cooked add sautéed fruits and add a pinch of salt.
Step 5
Add cardamom powder, Stir everything together thoroughly and continue to stir this continuously.
Step 6
Add condensed milk, sugar and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 7
Add oats and continue to stir this well till the mixture thickens a bit. The payasam tends to thicken after cooling. So switch off once it is little thick.
Step 8
Allow this to cool completely and serve!
Tip
Never rush the milk reduction by increasing the heat. Scorched milk adds a bitter undertone that ruins the entire payasam.
