Wheat Masala Dosa
Crispy on the edges, soft in the middle — this wheat masala dosa is a breakfast staple across Kerala. The batter comes together quickly and the dosa cooks in under a minute on a hot tawa.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 3 cup Wheat flour
- Salt As req
- 3 nos Potato
- 2 nos Onion
- 3 nos Green chillies
- 2 nos Dry red chillies
- Curry leaves, a few
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
- 3 Shallots
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 tsp Oil
Preparation
Step 1
Mix wheat flour and salt together and pour enough water to make a batter.
Step 2
Cook potato and onion well with enough salt.
Step 3
Let the mustard seeds crackle in the oil add dry red chillies and shallots, Let it cook for 2 minutes, add green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, and curry leaves stir continuously.
Step 4
Add the cooked potato to it Make the dosa in a tawa, put some masala into each dosa and roll it wheat masala dosa is ready.
Tip
The pan must be properly hot before you pour the batter. Sprinkle a few drops of water — if they sizzle and evaporate immediately, the temperature is right.
