Wheat-Gehun Laddoos In Microwave
Wheat flour, besan and ghee is roasted in a microwave and shaped into laddoos.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 11/2 cup Wheat flour Gehun ka Atta
- 1 cup Sugar — powdered
- 1/2 cup Gram flour Kadala mavu/Besan
- 1/2 cup Ghee
- 1 tsp Cardamom powder (Elakka)
- 1/2 cup Dry grapes
- 1/2 cup Pista/Badam — crushed
Preparation
Step 1
First melt ghee in a microwave safe bowl for 1 minute in high mode.
Step 2
Stir in wheat flour and besan and mix thoroughly.
Step 3
Roast in high mode for 2 minutes and crush all lumps.
Step 4
The flour would have darkened with a roasted aroma.
Step 5
Allow the mixture to cool. Now add cardamom powder and sugar.
Step 6
Stir everything together thoroughly with your hands to remove any lumps and knead well.
Step 7
Add dry grapes and nuts.
Step 8
Shape into laddoos.
Step 9
Wheat/gehun laddoos in microwave is ready to serve.
Tip
Fresh curry leaves make a genuine difference. Dried curry leaves are a poor substitute — if you cannot get fresh ones, increase the quantity and fry them longer.
