Wheat Dosa Easy
Crispy on the edges, soft in the middle — this wheat dosa easy is a breakfast staple across Kerala. The batter comes together quickly and the dosa cooks in under a minute on a hot tawa.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 2 cup Wheat flour
- 11/2 cup Water
- 1 nos Onion — chopped
- 1/4 cup Curd
- 2 tsp Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 4 - Green chillies
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Mix together wheat flour, curd, chopped onions, salt and water.
Step 2
Warm the oil in a pan.
Step 3
Add mustard seeds and when they crackle, add green chillies.
Step 4
Add the seasoning into the above mixture.
Step 5
Heat a thick dosa griddle or pan.
Step 6
Pour a ladle full of batter in the center.
Step 7
Spread thinly like pancakes and when batter has cooked, pour some oil or ghee on it.
Step 8
Remove from the tawa, when Wheat Dosa becomes golden in colour.
Step 9
Serve Wheat Dosa with chutney, sambhar or curd.
Tip
The pan must be properly hot before you pour the batter. Sprinkle a few drops of water — if they sizzle and evaporate immediately, the temperature is right.
