Vermicelli(Semiya) Ada
Vermicelli Semiya Ada is a snack dish that can be prepared in a jiffy with minimum ingredients. Vemicelli Semiya Ada is a nutritious snack, very filling and wholesome. Kids love the sweet snack with the combo of banana slices and raisins.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 200 g Vermicelli cooked, Semiya
- 3 cup Raw rice (Pachari)
- 1 Half Coconut — grated
- 250 g Sugar
- 1 cup Banana — sliced
- Dry fruits, to taste
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing vermicelli(semiya) ada, first soak raw rice in water for 5 hours. Powder and roast it.
Step 2
Boil water with salt and knead the roasted raw rice into a dough with hot water.
Step 3
Mix vermicelli, coconut, banana slices, sugar and dry fruits in a bowl. Set aside.
Step 4
Make small balls out of the rice dough and press it in banana leaves.
Step 5
Put the filling on the pressed ada and fold the leaf(cover the filling with ada).
Step 6
Steam the ada's.
Step 7
Vermicelli(semiya) ada is ready. Serve after some time.
Tip
Jaggery burns easily. Melt it on low heat and always strain it to remove grit before adding it to the mixture.
