Vegetable Soup
Soothing and peppery, this Kerala-style soup is what grandmothers prescribe for cold days and sore throats. Simple ingredients, quick to make, and genuinely restorative.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- Carrot 1
- Beans Half cup
- Potato half cup
- Cornflour 2tsp
- Egg 1
- Cauliflower half cup
- Green chilly 2
- Pepper powder 2 tsp
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Cut vegetables into small pieces.
Step 2
Get a pressure cooker and pour the vegetables except cauliflower,water and pepper powder to it and close it and cook for 2 to 3 whistles.

When its cooked.
Step 4
Pour cauliflower and cook without closing cooker, Also add salt.
Step 5
Add cornflour,egg and give it a good stir.
Step 6
When it's boiled off the flame.
Step 7
Our soup is ready,.
Step 8
Serve while still hot.
Step 9
Add pepper powder and sauce if needed.
Tip
Frying the boiled eggs briefly before adding to the curry gives them a golden skin that holds up better in the gravy.
