Spicy Mutton Curry
This Mutton Curry is a great spicy side dish, that is prepared with finest blend of spices. It’s a mouth-watering earthy dish with a hot and spicy flavor. It combines excellent with chapatis, rotis , parathas, biryani or with plain white rice.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 500 g Mutton — cut into medium size pieces
- 2 tsp Ginger / garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1.5 tbsp Coriander powder
- 2 tbsp Chilli powder
- 1 tsp Pepper powder
- 1 tsp Fennel powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala powder
- 2 nos Onion — sliced
- 3 nos Green chilly
- 1 nos Tomato
- Curry leaves / coriander leaves
- 3 tbsp Coconut oil
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Marinate the cleaned mutton with the ingredients from ginger / garlic paste to Garam Masala powder along with salt and set aside for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Pressure cook the marinated mutton with 1/4 cup of water on high heat upto 1 whistle.Then cook on low heat for 7-10 minutes.Open the cooker when the pressure drops.
Step 3
Heat the oil in a wide pan and fry sliced onions, green chilly and curry leaves.Then add chopped tomato and cook till it turns soft. (Add spices if required ).
Step 4
Transfer the cooked mutton to this pan and Stir everything together thoroughly. Add salt and water if needed.
Step 5
The spicy mutton curry with roti,chapati and rice.
Step 6
Adjust the quantity of spices according to your choice.
Tip
The oil separating from the masala is your signal that the base is properly cooked. Do not add the main ingredient before you see those pools of oil on the surface.
