Tuna Fish Curry Easy
an tangy flavored fish delicacy in Kerala, very special and tasty. The spicy flavored Tuna Fish Curry pairs very well with hot rice and Kappa. The fish curry is unique and special with tuna pieces cooked in a spicy coconut mixture.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 500 g Tuna small pieces, Kajiki maguro
- 50 g Ginger — finely chopped
- 8 Cloves garlic cut lengthwise
- 5 nos Green chillies cut lengthwise
- 3 Stems Curry leaves
- 4 tbsp Coconut powder
- 4 tbsp Coconut fine powder
- 3 tbsp Oil
- 1 nos Tomato
- 1/2 cup Onion chopped, Big
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- Salt, to taste
- 4 nos Gambooje Kudam (puli)
- 50 g Eastern Fish Masala
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing Tuna Fish Curry Easy, first Heat the oil in a pan.
Step 2
Let the mustard seeds crackle.
Step 3
Add ginger to the heated oil. Take care to make the flame very low so as not to overcook any ingredients.
Step 4
Add salt and cook the ginger till it turns brown.
Step 5
Add fish masala to it and cook until the color of masala becomes red.
Step 6
Add coconut powder to cooked masala and stir until it gets mixed with masala.
Step 7
Add garlic, green chilly and curry leaves to it and cook well.
Step 8
Add fish to it and Stir everything together thoroughly with the mixture until fish is smeared with the cooked masala.
Step 9
Add chopped onions, tomato and kudampuli to the mixture.
Step 10
Add water to the level, till the fish is immersed and let it boil in medium flame.
Step 11
Once it boils, let it go for another 15 minutes in low flame.
Step 12
Tuna Fish Curry Easy is ready.
Tip
The oil separating from the masala is your signal that the base is properly cooked. Do not add the main ingredient before you see those pools of oil on the surface.
