Tuna-Choora Fish Thoran In 5 Mins
Easy but tuna fish thoran in just 5 mins using canned tuna available in EUROPE/USA/UK.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 1 Can Canned tuna fish in oil around 185 - 200 gm
- 1 nos Onion medium
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- Mustard seeds A pinch
- 2 nos Green chillies split
- 1/4 tsp Chilli powder — optional
- 2 - Desiccated coconut grated fresh coconut if available
- Oil, to taste
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Let the mustard seeds crackle in the oil from the canned tuna.
Step 2
Optionally use any oil, if tuna is canned in water.
Step 3
Cook onions until translucent.
Step 4
Add the tuna and cook for 1 min.
Step 5
Add salt as necessary.
Step 6
Add the desiccated/fresh shredded coconut.
Step 7
Add turmeric and black pepper.
Step 8
Add chilly powder also if you want it to be spicy.
Step 9
Add the green chillies, sprinkle some water and cook for another 2 minutes.
Step 10
Dont let the dish become too dry.
Step 11
Serve while still hot with rice.
Step 12
You can also add ginger-garlic paste if available after step 2 to enhance the taste.
Tip
Grated coconut goes in last and cooks just long enough to warm through. Overcooking makes it chewy instead of soft.
