Tin Fish Roast Easy
Kerala-style dry fry where fish is cooked down until all the moisture evaporates and what remains is intensely flavoured, slightly caramelised, and impossibly moreish. Best with parotta or plain rice.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- Tin fish 1 box
- Onion 1
- Mustard 1 tsp
- Green chilly 4
- Turmeric powder 1 tsp
- Coconut powder 2 tsp
- Curry leaves 1 sprig
Preparation
Step 1
Heat pan pour oil and add mustard.
Step 2
When it allow to crackles add onion green chilly and curry leaves.
Step 3
Add turmeric powder.
Step 4
Get tin fish.
Step 5
Add this to the pan.
Step 6
Add water.
Step 7
Add coconut powder when it boils.
Step 8
Give it a good stir and close the pan for 3 mint.
Step 9
Our dish is ready.
Tip
A heavy-bottomed pan or cast iron skillet gives you the best results for a proper Kerala fry. Thin pans burn the spices before the meat dries.
