Tasty Refreshing Grape Water
A traditional preparation from Kerala that balances flavour, texture, and aroma in the way that only home cooking can. No two households make it exactly the same, and that is the point.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- Grapes : 1 k gm
- Sugar, to taste
- Water, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
In a bowl, add grapes and pour water to this until the whole grapes sink. Heat in a low flame until the grapes start breaking.
Step 2
Add required sugar and continue heating for 10 more minutes in a low flame.
Step 3
Put off the fire and set to cool. Squeeze out the juice from the grapes.
Step 4
Refrigerate and use.
Tip
Let the dish rest for a few minutes after cooking. Flavours settle and meld during this time, and the texture often improves.
