Sweet And Sour Prawns
Marinated prawns rolled out in flour, vermicelli and deep fried.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 5 nos Prawns cleaned, washed and drained, big
- 1/2 tbsp All purpose flour Maida
- 1/2 tbsp Corn flour
- 1 nos Egg beaten
- 1/4 tsp Chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
- 1/2 tbsp Tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup Vermicelli
- Ajino moto A pinch
- 1/4 tsp Sugar
- Oil As reqd — for frying
- Water Little
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing sweet and sour prawns, first mix together the following ingredients: maida, cornflour, egg, chilly powder, pepper powder, tomato sauce and required salt. Make a smooth paste by adding little water.
Step 2
Add a pinch of agino moto to the prepared paste and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 3
Dip each prawn in the paste mixture and roll in broken vermicelli.
Step 4
Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry in hot oil the prawns to a golden brown color.
Step 5
Sweet and sour prawns, a nutritious, mouth-watering recipe, is ready. Serve hot.
Tip
Ghee quality matters enormously in traditional sweets. Use homemade ghee if you can — the flavour is incomparably richer.
