Stuffed Lady's Finger
An interesting snack also a side dish with rice. Normally, kid love lady's finger a lot. We can prepare in this way, which attracts them a lot.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 200 g Ladies Fingers
- 1 Tspn Red Chilli Powder
- 1/ Tspn Turmeric Powder
- 1 Tspn Cumin Seeds
- ½ Tspn Garam Masala
- 1 Tspn Aamchur
- 5 – Coriander Leaves
- ¼ cup Onion — chopped
- Salt, to taste
- 4 – Coconut/Refined Oil
Preparation
Step 1
Heat some Oil in a frying pan and add Cumin seeds.
Step 2
Next, add the chopped Onion into the frying pan and stir it.
Step 3
Also add Turmeric Powder, Coriander Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Garam Masala powder, Amchur and Salt and stir the mix further for about 5 minutes.
Step 4
Masala for filling the Ladies fingers is ready.
Step 5
Wash and cut both ends of the Ladies fingers. Also cut open one side of the Ladies fingers (to fill the masala).
Step 6
Fill the Masala (as much as possible) into the Ladies finger and press it (so that the Masala is not coming out from the Ladies fingers).
Step 7
Heat the frying pan and then keep the masala filled Ladies fingers in it.
Step 8
Apply little Oil in the frying pan.
Step 9
Cover the frying pan with a plate/lid and allow to cook the Ladies finger (do not apply water) on medium heat for about 10 minutes. When one side of the Ladies fingers are cooked well turn them to other side and cook for some more time. When the Ladies fingers are cooked well, turn off the heat and change it into a serving plate.
Step 10
Stuffed Ladies fingers is ready and this can be served with Chappathi/Poori or as side dish for lunch/dinner.
Tip
Let the dish rest for a few minutes after cooking. Flavours settle and meld during this time, and the texture often improves.
