Sprout Cabbage Thoran
It is a side dish for rice.It is very healthy. - Sprout cabbage thoran.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 cup Cabbage
- 1 cup Sprouts
- 1 cup Coconut — grated
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 Onion
- 1 tsp Chilli powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Mustard
- 2 Red chilly
- 2 tsp Coconut oil
- 1 tsp Mustard
Preparation
Step 1
Set a kadai over medium heat and pour in the oil add mustards,when it allow to crackles add red chilly Let it cook for 2 minutes.
Step 2
Add cabbage and sprouts to this and Let it cook for 5 minutes.
Step 3
Grind coconut,cumin seeds,onion and chilli powder in a mixer.
Step 4
Add this ground mix to cabbage mix add salt and Let it cook for 2 minutes.
Step 5
Add chilli powder and mix all together.
Step 6
Now sprouts cabbage thoran is ready.
Tip
Shred the vegetable as fine as you can — the thinner the cuts, the better the thoran. A sharp knife makes all the difference.
