Spinach Dosa
Crispy on the edges, soft in the middle — this spinach dosa is a breakfast staple across Kerala. The batter comes together quickly and the dosa cooks in under a minute on a hot tawa.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 2 tbsp Spinach (Cheera)
- 50 g Bengal gram flour Kadala mavu
- Ginger — chopped
- 2 nos Green chillies remove seeds and chop
- 2 tbsp Coconut — grated
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Pour some water into kadala mavu and make a watery batter. Add required salt.
Step 2
Add green chillies, ginger, and spinach to the batter and mix.
Step 3
Spread out the batter as dosas and fry both sides.
Step 4
Spinach doas, a highly nutritional recipe is ready.
Tip
The pan must be properly hot before you pour the batter. Sprinkle a few drops of water — if they sizzle and evaporate immediately, the temperature is right.
