Spinach Cutlet
Coated in a well-seasoned batter and fried to a deep golden colour — the crunch is the whole point. Serve with a cup of strong black tea and watch them disappear.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 3 cup Spinach leaves — chopped
- 1 cup Potato cooked and — ground
- 1/4 cup Oil
- 1/2 cup Onion — chopped
- 2 tbsp Green chillies — chopped
- 1 tsp Ginger — chopped
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
- Salt, to taste
- 1/2 cup Gram flour kadala mavu
- Water, to taste
- Bread crumbs, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing spinach cutlet, Heat the oil in a kadai, fry onion, green chillies and ginger.
Step 2
Add the spinach leaves and give it a good stir in low flame until done. take it off the heat.
Step 3
Add the ground potato, garam masala and salt to the spinach mixture and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 4
Make desired shape out of it.
Step 5
Mix gram flour, salt and water well.
Step 6
Dip the cutlet in the flour mixture.
Step 7
Coat the mixture with bread crumbs and fry it in oil.
Step 8
Spinach cutlet, a Snack recipe is ready.
Tip
Drain on a wire rack instead of paper towels — the rack keeps the bottom from getting steamy and losing its crispness.
