Spicy & Tasty Pepper Chopse
There is no shortcut to good Kerala beef. The spices are toasted, the shallots are browned, and the meat is given the time it needs to become tender and deeply flavoured.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- Beef : ½ k gm
- Onion : 2 nos
- Garlic : 6 nos
- Ginger : 1 inch piece
- Chilly powder : 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder : 1 tsp
- Cardamom : 2 nos
- Clove : 4 nos
- Cinnamon : 2 nos
- Pepper powder : 3 tsp
- Oil : 2 tsp
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Cook beef using salt, ginger, garlic, turmeric powder, chilly powder, pepper powder, clove, cardamom, cinnamon.

When beef gets cooked slice it in to small pieces.

Heat a pan add oil in it and fry the onion.
Step 5
To the onion add the sliced and half cooked beef give it a good stir.
Step 6
Add water if needed.
Step 7
Then close it and let the beef cooked well and add pepper, salt if needed.
Step 8
Serve while still hot.
Tip
Thin strips cook faster and develop more crispy surface area than thick cubes. Cut against the grain for tenderness.
