Spicy Sausage Masala
A and tasty recipe. This masala is a simple and quick recipe to do as for lunch and dinner. In our busy life, quick dishes can be easily made by storing the frozen sausages.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 Packet Sausage frozen
- 2 nos Onion medium
- 1 nos Green chilly
- 1 nos Tomato — optional
- 1 inch Ginger
- 2 - Garlic pods
- 1 small Tomato paste
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Red chilly powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp Garam masala powder
- 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 2 - Curry leaves
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Remove sausage from packet and put in cold water for about 20 minutes.
Step 2
Cut Sausage into small pieces.
Step 3
Chop onions, green chilly and ginger finely.
Step 4
Set a pan over medium heat and pour in the oil.
Step 5
Let the mustard seeds crackle.
Step 6
Add curry leaves.
Step 7
Keep stove on low heat.
Step 8
Add chopped ginger, green chillies and onion ansd sauté.
Step 9
Add tomato (optional).
Step 10
When the onion gets transparent, add chilli powder, tumeric powder, pepper powder and garam masala powder.
Step 11
Cook until oil separates.
Step 12
Add tomato paste.
Step 13
Add the sausage pieces and give it a good stir.
Step 14
Add salt according to taste.
Step 15
Cover the lid, cook on low heat, till the gravy is dry.
Step 16
Serve while still hot with rice or chappathis.
Tip
Taste as you go. Recipes are guidelines — your palate is the final judge. Adjust salt, sourness, and heat to what tastes right to you.
