Spicy Mushroomcurry
Rich, fragrant, and full-bodied — this mushroom curry gets its depth from slow-cooked shallots and a careful balance of chilli heat and tang. Serve with appam, rice, or porotta.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 Capsicum
- 1 Onion
- 1/2 glass Tomato puree
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Gram masala
- Salt, to taste
- 1 cup Mushroom
- 1 tsp Pepper powder
Preparation
Step 1
Warm the oil in a kadai add cumin seeds,onion and capsicum Let it cook for 2 minutes.
Step 2
Add tomato puree to this and cook for a minute.
Step 3
Add chili powder,coriander powder,pepper powder and gram masala,cook for a minute.
Step 4
Add washed and cleaned mushroom to this kadai and Stir everything together thoroughly for a minute.
Step 5
Add 1 cup water to this,add coriander leaves and Let it cook for 10 minutes.
Step 6
Now spicy mushroom curry is ready to serve.It goes well with chapathy and rice.
Tip
Taste the gravy before adding the main ingredient. It should be well-seasoned and balanced on its own — the protein or vegetable will dilute it slightly.
