Spiced Masala Buttermilk
Butter milk is mixed with rice flour and other ingredients to make this tasty curry.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 cup Rice flour Aripodi
- 2 cup Butter milk
- 1/4 tsp Asafoetida (Kayam)
- 1/2 tsp Split black gram parippu (Uzhunnu)
- 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
- 6-8 nos Green chillies chopped finely
- Curry leaves A, a few
- 3 nos Dry red chillies
- 2 tbsp Oil
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing spiced masala buttermilk, combine rice flour, buttermilk and salt to make a batter.
Step 2
Heat oil and crackle mustard. 3)Then put urad dal, asafoetida, curry leaves, dry red chillies, and green chillies. Wait for a few minutes.
Step 3
Next, add the rice flour batter.
Step 4
Continue to stir until the rice flour gets cooked and it gets thickened. take it off the heat.
Step 5
Spiced masala buttermilk is ready.
Tip
Fresh curry leaves make a genuine difference. Dried curry leaves are a poor substitute — if you cannot get fresh ones, increase the quantity and fry them longer.
