Simple Keema Omelette
A traditional preparation from Kerala that balances flavour, texture, and aroma in the way that only home cooking can. No two households make it exactly the same, and that is the point.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- Cooked Keema : ¾ Cup (Can be — also made by cooking boneless chicken pieces with plain salt, and then grinding them )
- Egg : 4 nos
- Onion : 1 Nos — chopped
- Green Chilly : 3 nos (small pieces
- Salt : a pinch
Preparation
Step 1
Beat the eggs.
Step 2
Add Keema.
Step 3
Add onion, Green Chilly and salt to this.
Step 4
Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 5
Enter Step.
Step 6
In an oiled pan, cook in low heat for 4-5 minutes.
Step 7
Cook the other side for a minute.
Step 8
Can be used with breads, Buns or Chapathis.
Tip
Coconut oil is the default cooking fat in Kerala kitchens. It adds a depth of flavour that other oils simply cannot match in these recipes.
