Simple Banana Snack
Banana is one fruit which is cheap, nutritious and is easily available through out the year.In most Indian homes overripe bananas are there.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 3 Ripe plantain
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 2 tbsp Milk powder mix it with 3 tbsp water
- 4 tbsp Corn flour
- 1/2 cup Coconut — grated
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
- 10 Cashew nuts
- 1 tbsp Rava
- Salt pinch
- Oil — for frying
Preparation
Step 1
Cut the banana into small pieces.
Step 2
Smash it with a wooden spoon or with the back of a steel glass.
Step 3
Add sugar and smash again.
Step 4
Add grated coconut and milk powder mix.
Step 5
Add 1 tbsp rava.
Step 6
Add cardamom powder,salt and corn flour and Fold everything together gently.
Step 7
Finally add some nuts and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 8
Pour oil into a pan and heat it and fry till nice brown in colour.
Step 9
Simple and Banana snack is ready.
Tip
Coconut oil is the default cooking fat in Kerala kitchens. It adds a depth of flavour that other oils simply cannot match in these recipes.
