Sharkara Pazham
Sharkara pazham is an easy evening snack made by Keralites.Only very ripe bananas are used for making this snack. Sharkara pazham is served along with tea .
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 2 Cut Banana ethapazam
- 1 cup Coconut — grated
- 1/2 cup Jaggery — grated
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
- 1 tsp Ghee
- 5 Each Cashew/Raisins
Preparation
Step 1
Blend the grated coconut and prepare the thin and thick coconut milk from it. Cook the banana pieces with the thin coconut milk in a saucepan pan on low heat.
Step 2
Add grated jagerry,cardamom powder,Stir everything together thoroughly till it becomes thick.
Step 3
Add the thick coconut milk and turn off the heat.
Step 4
Heat ghee in a pan,fry the cashews,raisins and pour this into the banana mix.
Step 5
Sharkara pazham is ready to serve.
Tip
Coconut oil is the default cooking fat in Kerala kitchens. It adds a depth of flavour that other oils simply cannot match in these recipes.
