Semolina Drink/ Thari Kanji
Semolina drink/thari kanji is a ramadan special drink that's served warm.it is easier to digest and its more healthy.semolina drink taste light and delicious.
Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- 1 cup Semolina/rava/thari
- 1 Coconut — grind 1 grated coconut in one litr water
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 tsp Ghee
- 2 Shallots
- 5 Cashew nuts
- 5 Raisins
- Cardamom powder pinch
- Salt pinch
Preparation
Step 1
Heat ghee in a vessel and cook shallots,raisins and cashew nuts for 30 seconds.
Step 2
Pour coconut milk in to it and stirring it for one minute.
Step 3
Add rava,sugar,salt and cardamom powder in to the coconut milk.
Step 4
Stirring continuously as the mixture will get thicken.
Step 5
Now the delicious semolina drink is ready to serve.
Tip
Coconut oil is the default cooking fat in Kerala kitchens. It adds a depth of flavour that other oils simply cannot match in these recipes.
