Oats Ulli Dosa | Oats Jeera Dosa
Crispy on the edges, soft in the middle — this oats ulli dosa is a breakfast staple across Kerala. The batter comes together quickly and the dosa cooks in under a minute on a hot tawa.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 cup Oats — powdered
- 1 & 1/2 cup Water
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
- 10 nos Shallots — chopped
- Salt, to taste
- Oil
Preparation
Step 1
Powdered the oats.
Step 2
Get a bowl, add powdered oats, water, cumin seeds and salt to taste.
Step 3
Add chopped shallots and Stir everything together thoroughly. Add more water if required to get the correct consistency like dosa.
Step 4
Heat a pan, pour a ladle full of batter on the tawa. Spread it in a circular motion to make dosa and cook it using little oil till it goes golden brown from both sides.
Step 5
Serve it hot along with any veg or non-veg curry.
Tip
The pan must be properly hot before you pour the batter. Sprinkle a few drops of water — if they sizzle and evaporate immediately, the temperature is right.
