Semiya Chowari Payasam
one of the easiest of desserts that can be prepared in a jiffy. A mouth watering dessert, a favorite usually ed after a good meal.
Ingredientsfor 10 servings
- Milk: 1 ltr
- Water: 2 Cups
- Vermicelli (Semiya): 100 gm — roasted
- Chowari: 3 tsp
- Sugar : 10 tsp
- Cashew nuts: 10 pcs
- Dry grapes : 10 pcs
- Cardamom: 2 pcs
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing Semiya Chowari Payasam, boil milk together with water.
Step 2
Add roasted vermicelli, chowari, cashew nuts, dry grapes, cardamom & sugar to this.
Step 3
Let it cook for 20 minutes in a low flame.
Step 4
Serve while still hot or cold.
Tip
Keep stirring throughout — the cream that forms on the sides should be scraped back in. That is where the richness comes from.
