Sandwich Chutney
A green chutney with ginger and garlic makes this alive with flavour.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 bunch Mint leaves cleaned and chopped, Pudhina
- 1 bunch Coriander leaves cleaned and — chopped
- 3/4 cup Coconut — grated
- 2 One Ginger
- 2 - Garlic pods
- 1 nos Green chilly
- Salt, to taste
- 1/4 tsp Sugar
- Bread slices, to taste
- Butter — optional
- Tomato slices, to taste
- Cucumber slices, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Grind together the chutney ingredients and use just enough water to make a smooth paste.
Step 2
Add sugar and adjust the salt.
Step 3
Get a slice of bread and smear the chutney generously.
Step 4
Place it down with green side up and layer with tomatoes and cucumbers.
Step 5
Apply butter (optional) to the other slice and press down on the vegetables.
Step 6
Repeat with the remaining bread.
Step 7
Cut horizontally.
Step 8
Chill and serve or eat it just like that.
Tip
