Rice Flour Dosa
Golden-brown and lightly crisp, this dosa is the kind of breakfast that works on busy mornings and lazy weekends alike. The batter keeps well in the fridge for two to three days.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1/2 cup Rice flour
- Salt, as needed
- 1 cup Hot water
- 1/4 cup Normal Water
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing Rice Flour Dosa, take a large mixing bowl and take 1/2 cup rice flour. Season with salt. Add in 1 cup hot water. Mix with the help of a whisk or spoon to avoid lumps. Make a batter.
Step 2
Simultaneously, add 1/2 cup normal water and get a smooth consistency.
Step 3
Now heat a dosa tawa. Pour the prepared dosa batter on the tawa in a circular shape. You should be able to see some holes forming while spreading out batter on tava. That's the right consistency of batter. If not, you need to add some more water. Cover the dosa with a lid and allow to cook on medium heat. Scrape from sides once the dosa is cooked completely.
Step 4
Finally, serve the instant rice flour dosa with any veg or non veg curries.
Tip
For each cup of rice, use slightly less water than usual when adding other liquid ingredients like coconut milk or stock.
