Prawn Cutlette (Step By Step Photos)
Crispy, golden, and gone before they cool down — these fried snacks are the kind of thing that appears with evening tea and disappears within minutes. Best eaten hot, right out of the oil.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- 1/2 cup Prawns
- 2 Potato
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tsp Chilly powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 cup Bread crumbs
- 1 Egg Egg white
- 1/2 Onion
- 2 Green chilly
- Curry leaves, to taste
- Oil to fry
Preparation
Step 1
Marinate the prawns in chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt. Fry it in oil and slice it into small pieces.
Step 2
Cook the potatoes, peel and mash it well.
Step 3
Mix in ¼ cups of bread crumbs, prawns, onion, curry leaves, green chilly, salt, 1/2tsp chilly powder and a pinch of turmeric powder and knead all the ingredients well.
Step 4
Make small patties out of it and dip it in egg whites and cover it in bread crumbs.
Step 5
Fry it in oil.
Step 6
Serve it with tomato sauce as an evening snack.
Tip
Oil temperature is critical. Too hot and the outside burns before the inside cooks. Too cool and the snack absorbs oil and turns soggy.
