Potato-Aloo Pancakes
Grated potato, flour, milk and other ingredients are combined together and fried as pancakes.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 cup Potato — grated
- 1/2 cup All purpose flour Maida
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 2 tbsp Onion — grated
- Pepper powder, to taste
- Baking powder A pinch
- 1/2 tsp Sugar
- Oil For applying on tawa
- Salt, to taste
- 1 nos Egg
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing potato/aloo pancakes, mix together all purpose flour, egg, cinnamon, pepper powder, baking powder, sugar and salt in a bowl.
Step 2
Stir in grated potato and grated onion. Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 3
Pour milk into the mixture till it attains a thick consistency.
Step 4
Pour a ladle full of batter in a heated frying pan and spread lightly. Pour little oil on the sides of tawa.
Step 5
Cook till both sides are done.
Step 6
Potato/aloo pancakes, an easy as well as nutritious snack recipe, is ready.
Tip
Hard-boil the eggs first, then make shallow cuts on the surface before adding them to the gravy — this lets the masala flavour penetrate inside.
