Plain Sharjah
A traditional preparation from Kerala that balances flavour, texture, and aroma in the way that only home cooking can. No two households make it exactly the same, and that is the point.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 1/2 litre Milk chilled/frozen
- 100 g Cashew nuts
- 2 tbsp Horlicks/bournvita/maltova/chocolate horlicks/ovaltine
- 1 nos Plantain we use palayamgoden plantain, medium size
- Sugar normally 4 or 5 tbsp
Preparation
Step 1
Grind the above ingredients in a blender for 2 minutes.
Step 2
Its ready to serve in milk shake glasses.
Tip
Do not rush the onion and shallot frying. The difference between pale onions and properly browned onions is the difference between a flat dish and a flavourful one.
