Pepper Mutton Masala
Today I'm going to share an interesting version of pepper mutton recipe.The name of the recipe pepper mutton masala itself is quite mouth watering and the name pepper says it all.
Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- 1/2 kg Mutton
- 1 tsp Red chilly powder
- 2 tsp Ginger garlic — crushed
- 1/2 cup Water
- 2 tbsp Oil
- Salt, to taste
- For the masala
- 2 Thinly Onion
- 1 Tomato — chopped
- 2 Green chili — chopped
- 1 tbsp Black Pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- Coriander leaves, a few
- 2 tbsp Oil
Preparation
Step 1
Heat the oil in a pressure cooker and add crushed ginger and garlic.stir for a few seconds in low flame.
Step 2
Add washed and cleaned mutton pieces,red chilly powder,salt and water as needed.
Step 3
Now the mutton is well cooked.
Step 4
Heat the oil in a vessel and add onion,cook until the colour goes golden brown.
Step 5
Add tomato,green chilly and cook until soft.
Step 6
Add all powders and Let it cook for 2 minutes.
Step 7
Add cooked mutton,chopped coriander leaves and Fold everything together gently.
Step 8
Continue cooking for 4 to 5 minutes in low flame and take it off the heat.
Step 9
Pepper mutton masala is ready.
Tip
Low and slow is the only way with mutton. Rushing the cooking gives you tough, chewy meat instead of fork-tender pieces.
