Peanuts Laddu
A traditional Kerala sweet that balances richness with restraint. Made with jaggery, coconut, and a careful hand, the sweetness is warm rather than overwhelming — the kind of flavour that lingers.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 2 cup Peanuts — roasted
- 11/4 cup Jaggery Sarkara
- 1 tsp Cardamom (Elakka)
- Ghee — optional
- Dry fruits — optional
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing peanuts laddu, coarsely(roughly) grind peanuts and jaggery separately.
Step 2
Mix both together and add cardamom.
Step 3
Make lemon sized balls(it will not get spoiled for one week).
Step 4
Peanuts laddus are ready. You may also add coconut, if required.
Tip
Ghee quality matters enormously in traditional sweets. Use homemade ghee if you can — the flavour is incomparably richer.
