Payyoli Chicken Fry | Chicken Coconut Fry

Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 500 g Chicken Cleaned and — cut into medium sizes
- 2 tbsp Ginger garlic (crushed
- 2 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp Vinegar
- 3 tbsp Fresh coconut — grated
- Curry leaves
- Oil — for frying
- Salt, to taste
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
Preparation
Step 1
Marinate the chicken pieces in a mixture of kashmiri chilli, turmeric powder, garam masala, required salt and vinegar. Set aside for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Fry the chicken pieces in hot oil. Add the crushed ginger garlic in that oil. Fry for a while and remove the chicken pieces carefully. Set aside.
Step 3
Add grated coconut and curry leaves in the same vessel that we marinated the chicken pieces.
Step 4
Marinate in it.
Step 5
Fry the marinated grated coconut in the same oil that we fried chicken. Fry coconut till it becomes crispy. Pour the fried coconut seasoning over the chicken pieces.
Step 6
Payyoli chicken fry is ready. Serve it along with porotta.
Tip
The final handful of curry leaves should go in right at the end, off the heat — they should crackle and crisp in the residual heat.
