Passion Fruit Sarbath
A traditional preparation from Kerala that balances flavour, texture, and aroma in the way that only home cooking can. No two households make it exactly the same, and that is the point.
Ingredientsfor 1 servings
- 1 nos Passion fruit
- 2 tbsp Nannari syrup
- 250 ml Water
- Ice Cubes, a few
Preparation
Step 1
Use a sharp knife to cut through the passion fruit shell.
Step 2
Use a spoon to pull the pulp out of the shell and add into a glass. Then pour the nannari syrup.
Step 3
Add water, ice cubes and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 4
Passion Fruit sarbath is ready.
Tip
Coconut oil is the default cooking fat in Kerala kitchens. It adds a depth of flavour that other oils simply cannot match in these recipes.
