Parippu Cheera Vada

- Dal (sambar dal) : 1 cup (cooked
- Spinach : 2 cup (chopped
- Bread slices : 4 nos
- Onion : 1 no (chopped
- Dry red chillies : 3 nos (chopped
- Green chillies :1 no ( chopped
- Garam masala : ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder : 1 tsp
- Cumin powder : 1 tsp
- Besan : 1 cup or, to taste
- Oil — for deep frying
Preparation
Step 1
Cook dal and lightly blend it in a mixer.2) In a large bowl, mix onion, red chillies, green chillies, ginger, cumin powder, turmeric, garam masala, salt, dal and chopped spinach.
Step 2
Mix it well.4) Add the besan and mix again.5) Dip the bread slices in water and squeeze well.6) Add the squeezed out slices into the bowl.7) Now mix all well.8) Make Dumblings out of it.
Step 3
Set a kadai over medium heat and pour in the oil.
Step 4
Slightly flatten the dumblings with hand and fry in hot oil it in oil.11) Parippu cheera vada is ready.
Tip
The binding point is everything — cook the mixture just until it holds shape when pressed. Overcooked, it turns hard; undercooked, it crumbles.
