Pappaya Stir Fry
Slow-roasted in coconut oil with a generous hand of spices, this mixed fry develops layers of flavour as it dries out on the pan. The patience pays off — every piece is coated and concentrated.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 2 cup Raw pappaya — chopped
- 1 nos Onion — chopped
- 1 tsp Chilly flakes
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- Curry leaves, a few
- 2 nos Dry red chilli
- Coconut oil, to taste
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing pappaya stir fry, first cook pappaya with turmeric powder, salt and required water until dry and done.
Step 2
Set a kadai on the stove, heat oil. let the mustard seeds crackle, dry chillies and curry leaves.
Step 3
Fry onions and chilly flakes.
Step 4
Add pappaya and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 5
Pappaya stir fry is ready.
Tip
The final handful of curry leaves should go in right at the end, off the heat — they should crackle and crisp in the residual heat.
