Pappadam Thoran

Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 20 nos Pappadam
- 1/4 Of Coconut
- 4 nos Green chillies
- 6 nos Small onions (Kunjulli)
- 1/2 cup Coconut oil
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 3 – Small onions finely chopped — for seasoning
- Salt, to taste
- Curry leaves, a few
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing Pappadam Thoran, first pound the grated coconut with green chillies, curry laves and small onions in a mixer bowl.
Step 2
Warm the oil in a pan or a kadai.
Step 3
Fry the pappadams the usual way.
Step 4
Crush the fried pappadams and add salt and the coconut mixture into it.
Step 5
Stir everything together thoroughly the whole thing.
Step 6
Heat a little oil in a pan or a kadai.
Step 7
Let the mustard seeds crackle and cook dry red chillies, chopped small onions and curry leaves.
Step 8
Add the pappadam-coconut mixture and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 9
Lower the flame and cook, till done.
Step 10
Pappadam Thoran a Innovative dish is ready.
Tip
Grated coconut goes in last and cooks just long enough to warm through. Overcooking makes it chewy instead of soft.
